Bomb in the sand to produce tiles, production activity suspended at Granito Forte A war device was found in the sand used to produce tiles at the Granito Forte di Fresagrandinaria . The discovery took place in the late morning of today, the device (probably a mortar shell) blocked one of the machines, a hopper, which transports the sand that arrives from other countries (Ukraine and Turkey above all). Fortunately, no explosions occurred. The carabinieri of the Fresagrandinaria station intervened on the spot and cordoned off the area to make it safe and the mayor Lino Giangiacomo . The evacuation of the plant was ordered which took place only several hours after the discovery. The prefecture of Chieti has been notified of the fact, tomorrow the bomb squad is expected to remove the bomb and its subsequent blasting.
