On 11 February 2023, a suicide bomber in a rickshaw targeted a convoy of security forces and employees of the Marri Petroleum Company, while it was on its way from North Waziristan to Bannu, in Khajori Chowk area of Mir Ali sub-division (North Waziristan, KPK), killing 4 security personnel and injuring 22 (including 15 employees of the gas and oil exploration company). TTP claimed responsibility for the attack. Fatalities coded as 5 including the suicide bomber.
