On 11 February 2023, in Nyaung Pin Gyi village of Shwegyin township (Bago district, Bago-East region), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops from 20th Light Infantry Division (LID) based in Pa Zun Myaung village landed in Nyaung Pin Gyi village at around 5 am. The shelling injured three women (ages 40, 20, and 36).
