A local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, identified as Sagar Sahu, vice-president of BJP's Narayanpur District unit, was shot dead by suspected cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) at his home in Chhotedongar village in Narayanpur District of Chhattisgarh on February 10, reports NDTV. As per the preliminary information of the Police, two unidentified persons barged into the leader's house and shot him in front of his family members. "Prima facie the incident seems to be the handiwork of Maoists but an investigation is underway, Police said.
