On 4 February 2023, between Nwar Ku Aing village and Myingyan town (coded as Nwar Ku Aing) (Myingyan township, Myingyan district, Mandalay region), the Shwe Chan Thar Guerrilla Force (Myingyan) attacked a military vehicle carrying 6 soldiers with six mines on the Nwar Ku Aing - Myingyan road at around 12:30 pm, killing two military soldiers.
