On 4 February 2023, a remote controlled IED planted by Al Shabaab detonated, targeting Dhulbahante clan militia convoy travelling along the main murram road between Milxo and Ceelayo village (Laasqoray, Sanaag). Two clan militias were killed and three others were injured. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
