On 6 February 2023, unknown militants injured 2 Ministry of Interior employees (most likely members of the police forces) at a checkpoint in Al Yusufiyah, Baghdad. The security employees stopped a civilian vehicle containing 4 persons for an inspection and demanded identity documents. The persons in the vehicle refused and targeted the checkpoint with a hand grenade injuring 2. 2 of the persons inside the car were detained while 2 escaped. Their vehicle was later found in the Dora highway with drug paraphernalia. There were no fatalities.
