On 7 February 2023, overnight, Al Shabaab threw two hand grenades at a residential house targeting government soldiers (SNA) in Horseed Jowhar town (Jowhar, Middle Shabelle). One civilian bystanders was killed. Al Shabaab claimed killing at least three soldiers and injured seven others.
