Police arrested two cadres of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Niral Purti alias Niral Topno (45), resident of Gadigada village under Bandgaon Police Station, and Chattan alias Birsa Purti (25), resident of Halmad village under Tebo Police Station, from Bandgaon area in __West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on February 6, reports jagran.com. Police recovered 160 rounds of live bullets on the disclosure of Niral, who had been a of the squad of PLFI Фarea commanderХ Sanichar Surin, and Santosh Kadulna, and is currently working for the squad of Фzonal commanderХ Sukhram Gudiya. Following information that Naxalite [Left Wing extremist, LWE] Niral Purti had come to his house, Police laid siege and arrested him. At the same time, the Police also arrested Naxalite Birsa Purti, who used to collect ФlevyХ (extortion money) from the contractor for the PLFI.
