Police on January 31-night foiled a major terrorist attack on Makerwal Police Station in Isakkhel town of Mianwali District in Punjab, reports Dawn. In a statement, Mianwali District Police Officer (DPO) said that a group of 20 to 25 heavily armed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists attacked the Makerwal Police Station. However, the DPO said, the terrorists were forced to flee after an exchange of heavy gunfire.
