GRAPHIC IMAGES: War crimes in Bakhmut. This week I spoke with Sander @sandertrelvik A volunteer medic, and a victim of a war crime. The same attack that killed Marine Veteran, Pete Reed. Sander was working in Bakhmut rendering aid to sick and wounded civilians. A woman who was just hit by artillery needed help. Doing what medics do, they answered the call. As soon as they got on scene, they came under Russian fire. Initially thought to be random indirect artillery, but upon further investigation it’s been discovered they were targeted deliberately by a Russian ATGM crew (Anti-Tank Guided Missile). Sander described what the blast was like. How suddenly there was a flash of light and then darkness. When he opened his eyes he screamed as loud as he could to convince himself he wasn’t dead. How suddenly life can change. He was one of the very few survivors of the attack. He is currently in Norway recovering. To help Sander and his organization, please visit @frontline_medics to donate whatever you can.Sanders story of the attack will be uploaded in his own words on @battles.and.beers this evening. Fenix Insight: To the best of our knowledge based on the source images, the attack used a 9M133 or 9M133-1 anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) fired from one of the Kornet anti-tank guided weapon (ATGW) systems, or a system (turret, cupula-mounted, etc.) capable of firing the missile.
