On 28 January 2023, in Tha Yet Kan village (Myaing township, Pakokku district, Magway region), a combined force of the Myaing PDF (PaKaPha) Battalion 1 Unit 4 - Set Kyar Local Defense Force, People's Power Defence Force, Myaing Underground Defense Force (MUDF), TYK Guerrilla Force and Mone Taing People's Defense Force attacked more than 30 military soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee - including some soldiers on two motorcycles and two cars - with eight mines in the evening. Two military soldiers including a captain and a military appointed village administrator were killed, and around six others were injured.
