On 28 January 2023, troops of MNTJF in collaboration with Nigerian troops carried out a drone strike that was targeted at an ISWAP base in Matari forest (Nganzai, Borno). The strikes lasted for two days [coded separately], the militants' base was destroyed, they were dispersed and 36 suspected militants were arrested, casualties are unknown.
