On 31 January 2023, between Than Bo and Tha Pyay Kone villages (coded as Than Bo) (Kyaukkyi township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), a combined force of the KNU and the PDF (under the NUG) blew up a bridge on the Kyaukkyi-Than Bo road with mines at around 3 am. The floor of the bridge was damaged. There were no casualties.
