A factory manufacturing military equipment in Iranصs central city of Isfahan was attacked by drones late Saturday. After this attack, there was a huge explosion in the factory. At present, there is news of minor damage. Iranصs official news agency IRNA gave this information in the early hours of Sunday. A company manufacturing defense equipment in Isfahan was targeted by three drones late Saturday night, the agency said, citing a statement from the Defense Ministry. According to the statement, there was minor damage to the roof of the company in the attack. It states that all three drones were later shot down by Iranصs air defense systems. Although the Iranian Defense Ministry did not say who was suspected to be behind the drone attack, but it is feared that NATO countries are behind this attack. At the same time, Iranصs state television channel said that a huge fire broke out on Saturday night at an oil refinery located in an industrial area near the northwestern city of Tabriz. The channel aired videos of firefighters trying to douse the fire at the refinery. He said that the cause of the fire could not be ascertained at the moment. A proxy war has been going on between Iran and Israel for a long time. Several Iranian military and nuclear installations have been targeted in recent years. Last year, Iran said an engineer was killed and another worker was injured in a suspicious incident at its Parchin military and weapons production center east of the capital Tehran. Iranصs Defense Ministry called it a suspicious incident. He did not provide any additional details about the incident. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) suspects that Iran tests explosives that could be used to make nuclear weapons at its military base in Parchin. In April 2021, Iran accused Israel of an attack on its underground Natanz nuclear facility, in which its centrifuges were damaged. However, Israel rejected Iranصs allegations. In 2020, Iran blamed Israel for an attack that killed the countryصs top nuclear scientist.
