IED event in Jammu and Kashmir, Government Medical College, Rajouri area, India on Thu 26th January 2023

In a major success, Police slimed to have busted a major terror module operating in border district Rajouri by arresting three Over Ground workers (OGWS) who planted Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in three different areas of Rajouri, reliable sources informed. Till the filing of this report, intense and thorough questioning was going on to ascertain the involvement in other terror related activities, they further informed. زYes, three OGWs have been arrested for planting IEDs in 3 different places of Rajouri, زSSP Rajouri, Mohd Aslam confirmed to Rising Kashmir adding, زthe questioning from the arrested OGWs is still going on and it is being probed whether they are involved in the terror attack in Rajouri on January 1 and 2nthis year besides other terror related activitiesس. The SSP further said, زMore arrests are likely as Police has got vital clues in the ongoing questioning from the arrested OGWsس. Their involvement in other terror related activities is also being probed, the SSP Rajouri further informed adding, زAll the three arrested OGWs are natives of Rajouriس. The arrest of 3 OGWs in Rajouri has been made by the Police on the basis of disclosures from the detained suspects during questioning and after going through CCTV footages, sources further informed. Seven innocent civilians were killed by the terrorists in Dhangri village of Rajouri District, while fourteen others were injured in the most horrific terror attack on January 1and 2. Meanwhile, reliable sources also informed that the arrested OGWs were operating in Rajouri and nearby areas on the directions of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) from across the border. In the last few days, IEDs were recovered from three different places of Rajouri, one from Dassal village, one behind GMC Rajouri and the third one from Bhudal. Around 1kg IED was recovered from Dassal village of Rajouri which was diffused by the Army.
