Several elements of unexploded ammunition, originating from the Second World War, were discovered on Sunday, January 15, in the area of ??the village of Cinod, on Valea Uzului, by an authorized detectorist, informed the spokesperson of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Harghita, Alina Ciobotariu. According to the cited source, pyrotechnicians from Harghita identified three 82 mm caliber launcher bombs and nine 7.92 mm caliber cartridges. They have been picked up, transported and stored safely and are to be destroyed. Recently, similar pyrotechnic missions have taken place in Valea Uzului, where ammunition items originating, most probably, from the Second World War have been found. Ammunition elements from the two world conflagrations are frequently discovered in Harghita, mostly when agricultural or construction works are carried out, but lately there have been more cases in which they are discovered by authorized detectorists.
