On 18 January 2023, a remote controlled IED planted by Al Shabaab detonated, government security forces (SNA) convoy travelling on the roadside exploded at KM13 area at the Tabelaha Sheikh Ibrahim Weydow neighborhood in Mogadishu - Daynile (Banadir). Three soldiers were killed and two others were injured. The targeted military commander escaped unhurt. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
