On 19 January 2023, in Kaing Taw Ma village (Myaing township, Pakokku district, Magway region), military soldiers, guarding the water transfer pump that sends water from the Kaing Taw Ma village to the Myaing factory under the No (2) Ministry of Industry, fired heavy weapons and the shells hit and killed a woman at 2:30 pm.
