On 16 January 2023, between Chaung Zauk and Nyaung Pin Aing villages (coded as Chaung Zauk) (Okpho township, Thayarwady district, Bago-West region), the Thayarwady District PDF cut off the military communication cord buried under the Nyaung Pin Aing bridge and attacked about 30 military soldiers, who came to check the communication cord, with landmines at noon, injuring two military soldiers.
