On 12 December 2022, explosions were heard (presumably as a result of Ukrainian shelling of Russian forces) in Melitopol, Zaporizhia. Explosions occurred in the school where the Russian base was located. Additionally, Ukrainian forces blew up a strategically important bridge in Melitopol. Casualties unknown.
