Assam Police, in a joint operation with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from the South Jalan Tea Estate in Dibrugarh District of Assam on the night of December 25, reports The Sentinel Assam. Two AK-47 magazines, 12 rounds of ammunition, a few grenades, and some timer devices were recovered in the operation. There are unconfirmed reports of the seized weapons belonging to theUnited Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) since ULFA had a presence in Dibrugarh District and the recovered bullets have ‘1993’ markings.
