SAA event in Jharkhand, Korgo Forest in Lohardaga District area, India on Fri 30th December 2022

A search operation was conducted, on December 30, on the disclosure of arrested Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) self-styled 'sub-zonal commander', Govind Birijia, in which Security Forces (SFs) recovered an INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) assault rifle, a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR), two 303, a semi-automatic rifle and more than 500 bullets from the hideout of the Maoists in Korgo Forest under Bagdu Police Station limits in Lohardaga District of Jharkhand, reports prabhatkhabar.com. Earlier, on December 29, following an encounter in Korgo Forest under Bagdu Police Station limits in Lohardaga District, Birijia and self-styled 'sub-zonal commander' Chandrabhan Pahan alias CB Pahan, who sustained injuries in the encounter, were arrested. Later, Pahan succumbed to his injuries, while Birijia was taken to custody, and the incident was reported by SATP on December 29. Birijia carried a prize money of INR 200,000 on his head.
