On 14 December 2022, Al Shabaab threw two hand grenade to government security forces (SNA) at the General Gordon Camp in Mogadishu - Hodan (Banadir) where the recruitment of new troops was ongoing. There were no fatalities. At least nine new army recruits were injured. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility.
