On 30 December 2022, in Ta Zei Chaung village (Kani township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), a combined force of Kani People's Defense Force - KLG and unknown local people's defense forces fired an artillery shell at a military vessel traveling along the Chindwin River at around 4 pm for the third time. There was an unspecified number of casualties.
