On 26 December 2022, in Chaung-U town of Chaung-U township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), joint forces of PDF - Monywa District, Chaung U Middle Wolves Army (CMWA), and People's Defense Force - Chaung-U carried out a drone strikes against the Myanmar military troops stationed in football ground at around 6:30 pm. One military soldier died in the drone strike.
