On 2 January 2023, between Sah Khar and Hmaw Bon villages (coded as San Khar) (Hpakant township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military fired artillery rounds into surrounding areas at around 7 pm after locals hanged an anti-coup poster on the Long Hkin-Pyidaungsu road at around 1 am. Two artillery shells landed between the two villages. There were no casualties.
