On 30 December 2022, in Hmaw Bon village of Hpakant township (Mohnyin district, Kachin state), military forces stationed near the Ma Zut Yang prison fired rounds of heavy artillery at around 2:20 pm pm without an armed clash occurring and a shell exploded in the west of the village. Casualties unknown.
