On 1 January 2023, in Pwe Pyayt village (Thegon township, Pyay district, Bago-West region), the Pyay District PDF Battalion 3601 Unit 3 (Tine Lone Kyar Group) carried out a mine attack on three policemen who came to take down the poster, 'Resist the election that will be held by the military with people's power the public' at 8:15 am. The attack was carried out under the name of Operation 'Nan Htike Aung' under the NUG. A policeman was killed, and another was seriously injured.
