On 17 December 2022, in Nyaung Hla village of Ye-U township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), about 60 Myanmar military troops with two armour vehicles fired 120 heavy artillery shells at the village and injured a 40-year--old woman. According to Khit Thit Media, four civilians, including three children were injured by the shelling.
