On 14 December 2022, between Hpet Taw Yae and Kan Thar villages (coded as Hpet Taw Yae) (Natmauk township, Magway district, Magway region), a combined force of the Central Military Headquarters Battalion 901 (unit 1 - Ga Lon Column and unit 2 - Black Leopard Column) and the Beikthano PDF carried out mine attacks against a Myanmar military vehicle going to the village in the morning. 14 military soldiers were killed and four were severely injured.
