On 19 December 2022, near Mon Laing Khet village of Lai Zar area (coded as Lai Zar) (Waingmaw township, Myitkyina district, Kachin state), the military stationed on Hkaya Bum and Bum Re Bum hills fired over ten artillery rounds indiscriminately at around 3 pm, landing near the Woi Chyai Bum hill. Casualties unknown.
