On 1 January 2023, the Popular Mobilization Forces discovered and destroyed 1 IS hideout and defused IEDs on the Hamrin Mountains - Diyala. Iraqi airstrikes killed 4 IS militants during the same operation. The overall operation lasted 4 days, but the results were only published after the conclusion of the operation. 15 IS militants killed over a 4-day period are divided across 4 events. 4 fatalities.
