On 8 April 2020, pro-Houthi forces reportedly fired a number of Katyusha rockets at Al Amajid Brigade camp on the outskirts of Lawdar in southern Yemen (Lawdar, Abyan), injuring 5 fighters as the technical department building was hit, with no fatalities. At the same time, pro-Houthi forces claimed to have fired a Qassim ballistic missile at Al Shajiri camp in Abyan, killing and injuring dozens of fighters, in what is likely the same event.
