The militant arrested on December 20 has been identified as ‘Corporal’ Lonpho Gangsa hailing from Longoi village in Myanmar, reports The Mizoram Post. SATP had earlier reported that Khonsa Battalion of the Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Police arrested a militant of the Yung Aung faction of National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K-YA) from Wakka village in Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh on December 20. A pistol, a Chinese grenade, extortion notes, and some documents were recovered from the arrested militant.
