The Cachar police arrested a ‘cadre’ of the Liberation Tigers of Tribals from Hari Nagar village of Rajabazar Tehsil (revenue unit) in Cachar District of Assam which lies in the jurisdiction of Joypur Police Station, reports The Assam Tribune on December 9. The arrested cadre has been identified as Seiminthang alias Alex Gangte, aged 28 years, a resident of Jinam Ghat in Dima Hasao District of Assam. A small arm along with ammunitions have been recovered from his possession.
