On 5 December 2022, around 40 Palestinian rioters clashed with Israeli border police positioned near Rachel's Tomb at the eastern entrance of Mukhayyam Ayidah (Bethlehem, West Bank). Border police fired rubber bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters at rioters. Meanwhile, 2 border police officers were hurt after PFLP members hurled explosive devices at them.
