On 7 December 2022, in Shwenyaung town (Taunggyi township, Taunggyi district, Shan-South state), Shwe Nyaung People's Defense Force hurled a grenade at the Shwe Nyaung Area police station, where around 15 military soldiers and police were stationed in, on the Taunggyi-Kalaw Road at around 3:30 pm. Casualties unknown.
