On 4 December 2022, in Ka Myaw Kin village (Launglon township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), a mine explosion occurred near the Ka Myaw Kin bridge, which is located between Dawei and Launglon townships, at around 4:30 pm. Two women from Dawei town who were riding a motorcycle were injured, and one of them was severely injured from the mine explosion and the motorcycle crash.
