On 3 December 2022, near Nat Ma Hoke Gyi village (Indaw township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military stationed at Indaw police station fired four artillery rounds indiscriminately into the village at around 1 pm. Artillery shells landed in the paddy field near the village where four family members were working. A 14-year-old child died from blood loss when he was taken to the hospital. His mother and two other siblings including a 4-year-old child were injured.
