HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Turkish forces continued targeting villages in the north of Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria, with heavy weapons for the fifth consecutive day. A military source told North Press that the Turkish forces targeted the villages of Dada Abdal, Rabi’at and Tel al-Ward in the countryside of the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), north of Hasakah, with a barrage of artillery shells in the early hours of Thursday. The Turkish shelling that hit the aforementioned areas caused material losses to civilians’ possessions, according to the source. Intermittent shelling is heard in the area right now amidst intensive flight by Turkish drones over the area. Zirgan and its countryside along with other areas in northeastern Syria have been under successive Turkish shelling since November 20.
