On 20 November 2022, rockets fired from Syria hit the police station in Oncupinar village, Kilis. 7 police officers from the special operations unit and one soldier were injured in the attack. Although Turkey blamed SDF/YPG for the attack, Liberation Army of Afrin (HRE) claimed responsibility, reporting that 4 police officers were killed in the attack. However fatality claims were not confirmed by any other source.
