On 21 November 2022, in Thein Za Yat town (Kyaikto township, Thaton district, Mon state), the Myanmar military's No.310 artillery unit fired two artillery rounds into Ywar Lay Kwet Thit ward at around 2:30 pm without an armed clash occurring. An artillery shell landed near the women who were collecting water and injured one of them.
