On 19 November 2022, in Thanlyin township (Yangon-South district, Yangon region), an unidentified armed group threw and exploded a grenade near the temple on the Kyaik Khauk pagoda road in the Aung Min Ga Lar ward, where the military soldiers stationed, at around 10 pm. DVB reported that 2 military soldiers were injured, and Khit Thit Media reported that the 2 military soldiers were killed. Fatalities coded as 0 for the lowest estimates.
