On 25 March 2020, an Al Shabaab militant carried out a suicide bombing inside a small restaurant near Sayidka monument junction in Howlwadag (Howlwadag, Banadir). Four people were killed and six others injured. It is unclear whether the bomber is included in this fatality count.
