On November 30, Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres opened fire at Security Forces (SFs) when they were conducting an operation in the Nela Kanker area in Usur tehsil (revenue unit) of Bijapur District in Chhattisgarh, reports Times Now. The troops retaliated. However, the Maoists taking advantage of thick foliage retreated hastily. During the search, four weapons, one Improvised Explosive Device (IED), and materials for making IEDs were recovered.
