The explosive device was discovered on Monday morning at around 11am in Hosingen. The area was immediately cordoned off by the police before the arrival of the Luxembourg army's demining experts. The grenade was then transported to a wood, not far from where it was found. The explosive device was neutralised by a controlled explosion. The road near the site and the area were reopened to traffic shortly before 2pm.
