On 11 March 2020, American warplanes, operating under Coalition Forces, carried out raids on positions of pro-Iran militias in Sweiyeh in the countryside of Al Al-Bukamal in Deir-ez-Zor. Airstrikes on Sweiyeh, Al -Heri, Hizam Akhdar, and Al-Bukamal city resulted in the killing of 18 pro-Iran militia fighters. 18 fatalities are split across the 4 locations as follows: 5 Sweiyeh, 5 Al -Heri, 4 Hizam Akhdar, and 4 Al-Bukamal city.
