On 14 March 2020, an IED expolded by an unknown armed group targeting military vehicles belonging to Turkish forces and Turkey backed factions operating under OPS at the junction of Al-Nasriyah in Ras Al Ain countryside, killing five soldiers, including two Turkish soldiers and injuring others.
