On 17 March 2020, a landmine planted by an unknown armed group exploded in Maan town north of Suran in Hama countryside, seriously injuring a civilian and his child. No fatalities were reported. Later on 20 of March 1 civilian succumbed to the injuries sustained in the explosion.
